Animal Health, Cellular Health, Hair, Skin & Nails, Muscle, Bone & Joint Strength
Collagen is one of the most abundant proteins in the body, making up about 25-35% of the body’s total protein content. It is a major building block of ligaments, tendons, bones, muscles, and skin. Fish Collagen is composed of protein and amino acids. Hydrolyzed fish collagen is collagen protein that has been broken down into smaller molecules and is readily absorbed in the body when consumed orally.
Fish Collagen is an excellent source of protein and contains many essential amino acids. Fish Collagen (Hydrolyzed) can be used as a standalone or in combination of with other ingredients to support skin, joints and bone health.
Mechanism of Action
When consumed, hydrolyzed collagen is absorbed into the blood stream through the small intestine and carried, to the dermis, where it can remain for up to 14 days. There, it stimulates the multiplication and motility of fibroblasts, increases collagen production including fiber density and diameter, increases hyaluronic acid production, and activates protection against UVA radiation.
Clinical & Scientific Studies
Studies have indicated that collagen may help to improve joint and skin health.
